MANY NEW PICS ON THE PLECOSTOMUS PAGE. I've been continuing the work on the 'Plecostomus Bass'... Choosing to add striping detail with fingernail polish is turning out to be very labor intensive and perhaps not the best choice as compared to hiring a professional...? I've had to scrap and reapply many many times... And it's still going to have a 'home-crafted' look... But it is looking cool.. I pulled the frets and bought some stainless ones... And scraped off the finish off the neck.. But i think I'm realizing that I may need to do a little more research to re-radius the fretboard.. before installing the new frets and refinishing. |

Lots going on! I just returned from Russia with Virgil, Charles and Dennis. What a great time. We had direct flights on Aeroflot which were not bad for such a long flight... Russia seemed a little 'scarier' than Europe in that there's a lot more paperwork and the officials seem very stern. The Russias really keep track of you and make sure that you're going to leave when you've specified. We were even advised to keep our passports on us at all times in case authorities want to examine them. The 'Swissotel' we stayed at was super-fancy and formal, but the room was awesome and the breakfast was really awesome... Well worth losing sleep to attend.... 5 kinds of honey for your croissant? Virgil and I recorded some tracks for local trumpeter at 'Mosfilm Studios' (I think the biggest film/TV studio in Russia)... Nice studio and nice people. We also played at a club and at The 'Moscow International House of Music' which was incredible!

I just returned from a week in Illinois/Iowa doing some gig's with Rick Berthod and John Powell. The highlight was at 'The Redstone Room' in Davenport.... nice venue an turn out. I was using a newer Ampeg SVT-810 cabnet with my Walter Woods... I was a little surprised how much I liked the SVT. I mean 8 10s is nice to have, but the tone quality of this particular cabnet was working well for me. We even had to 'sneak' it into a small-ish (but very nice) blues club call 'The Fat Fish', but it sounded great in a small room at low volume also. I'm hoping to get some pics and maybe a video from these shows sometime soon. |

I finally posted 2 Planet X, 4 Rick Berthod Persuader Band, and 1 Katisse clip(s) that I've been meaning to post up to Youtube. It's interesting to see which performances that you end up getting video footage... Thanks to those who taped them. |

I uploaded 'Sextant' and 'Spoke' recently to the songs page. I have a bunch of material that I put a lot of effort into, but they're not 'done'. I thought I would post some of the stuff anyway to give you a feel for what I'm doing. Recently, I haven't had time to make progress with all this, but I'd really like to complete this in the near future. |
